Jon Brayton began serving the Washington, D.C./Baltimore Metropolitan Area as ARTSCAPES in 1987. In addition to his residential clients, his projects include many commercial and historical restorations. Here are a few of the many projects of note:

Restoration and casting of decorative ceiling replacement panels in the St. Paul St. lobby of the Mitchell Building .
8/15/99- 8/30/99 - WOODMONT COUNTRY CLUB -
Complete re-painting and re-glazing of all interior surfaces of the main Ballroom. This was done in a subtle two-color Strie effect which gave the panel surfaces the look of finely grained wood.
The restoration and color matching of damaged areas on a finely painted oriental mural done on a silver leaf surface in both parlors.
The complete refinishing and faux finishing of both restrooms in the Loggia.
2/25/99 - 4/15/99 - U.S. HOLOCAUST MUSEUM-
Training of the resident display and installation expert in Faux Finishing methods to better enhance the surfaces within the museum.
3/15/98 - 3/20/98 - JEFFERSON BUILDING- THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS-
Re-glazing and gold leafing of four Nineteenth century panels to match existing coffer ceiling panels broken during renovations. Each panel had to be restored exactly in color and technique and completed under the approval of The Architect Of The Capitol.
5/15/97 - 2/5/98 - THE WORLD BANK-
Working as the crew chief and foreman for Evergreene Painting Studios in Phase Two of the lobby of the new World Bank at 20th and Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, D.C. This included the silver leafing of over 35,000 square feet of ceiling panel surface in the main lobby and adjoining areas.
The gold-leafing of a large curved wall in the Executive Dining Hall with 23-carat gold.
The gold-leafing of the Executive Hall ceiling with 2,000 square feet of 23-carat gold.
In addition, Jon Brayton worked on the crews applying Venetian Stucco on decorative panels in the new building of the INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND on Pennsylvania Avenue, and on the crew at the JOHN F. KENNEDY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS during the complete restoration of the Concert Hall. His duties included the gold-leafing and glazing of the decorative ceiling panels.
12/3/96 - 1/25/97 - THE SECURITIES BUILDING-
This is a fine example of a WARDMAN building at 1519 15th St. in the Washington financial district. He completed a project restoring and repainting a magnificent coffer ceiling with a Greco-Roman Dolphin motif in the lobby, and the repair of plaster crown molding due to years of water damage.
These are only a few examples Jon Brayton's project experience.
